Greene County district court, week ending Oct. 9

In Greene County district court Jon Mitchell Bushman, 43, of Scranton was sentenced Oct. 6 to one year in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated- first offense. All but two days of the jail time was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He may complete the Des Moines Area Community College 48-hour alcohol education program in lieu of the jail time. He must complete a community college impaired drivers course. He must also undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. Bushman was fined $1,250 with a $187.50 surcharge; one-half will be waived if he obtains a temporary restricted license.

Bushman also changed his plea to guilty in an unrelated case in which he was charged with criminal mischief- second degree. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail. The jail time was suspended and he was placed on probation to Boone//Greene County Probation for one year. If he serves jail time in either case, the sentences will be concurrent. Chad Maurice Lehnhoff, 46, of Grand Junction was sentenced to 30 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of harassment- third degree, amended from indecent exposure. The jail term was suspended and he was placed on self-probation to the Greene County sheriff for one year. Lehnhoff was fined $105 with a $15.75 surcharge. Court costs were $144.20. Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Michael Lee Eastman, 46, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine- third or subsequent offense, possession of marijuana- third or subsequent offense, and driving while license barred; and Jonathan David Law, 36, of Churdan, OWI- first offense. Trial dates were set for Jan. 28 in both cases.

Cases were initiated as follows: Shari Ann Allen, 62, of Grand Junction, OWI- first offense; and John Douglas Reed, 37, of Jefferson, OWI- second offfense.
